Games running fine in standalone dosbox crash in retroarch

Grand Prix Circuit (1988): Crashes on loading the first circuit Brazil. Error message:

Brazilian.ESH FILE ERROR
Abnormal program termination

Soko-Ban (1984): Hangs when exiting the loading screen.

Many other games work well.

Tested on Windows 10 DOSBox 0.74 vs. core 0.74 21d00b5 (previous versions of core also showed this issue, it is not specific to this build)

• Tried ver set 5 to disable lfn
• Tried different video output drivers
• Tried different machine types
• Tried ems=false, xms=false, core=normal
