Unable to activate NES FourScore emulation #20

I am unable to get fceumm to emulate a NES FourScore adapter on a RaspberryPi. From what I can see, by looking at the source code, fceumm should have support for this Nintendo accessory.

I have tried to give fceumm both the command line option "-4" and by adding more NES game pads in the configuration but none of these things have worked. I noticed that it is possible choose between different types of input sources in the configuration menu but there is no option for FourScore. It is possible to select "Multitap", which I guess refers to the SNES Multitap accessory that allowed up to 5 players in games that supported it. However selecting "Multitap" does not change anything. It is still only possible to play at max 2 players. Any thoughts on this? Does this emulator not support the NES FourScore, despite showing signs of support in the source code, or am I doing something wrong?
