Please add the ability to place VMU screen outside of the 4:3 image on a 16:9 display #1066

As far as I can tell, it is not possible to have the VMU displays occupy the sides of a screen in a 16:9 display, so instead we have a 4:3 image with black bars, and the VMU screens overlapping it.

It would be great if we could have those VMU screens use the space in the black bars instead.

I vote on this too, I do video editing and having that obscure stuff would be severely annoying.

This is already possible in the standalone, but it would be nice to have it in the core so I can use shaders. Maybe they could add the option to force black bars. Edit: Duplicate of #117 and #265
