Missing graphics in some racing games and homebrews [Ubuntu 18.04] #1112

I was playing Tokyo Xtreme Racing, F1 Grand Prix and some hombrews like Arcade Racing and Armed7 and I noted that some graphics are not displayed. In Tokyo Xtreme Racing the map and the velocimeter are not showed. In Arcade Racing Legends the graphics are only show your car and not the others and the title screen and velocimeters. In Armed7, the game was only in a black screen. Note the screenshots below.

Note: This above my dedicaded Ubuntu for emulation and gaming but in my workstation Ubuntu 18.04 the games are showed fine. Is any problem with a GCC version or some like that? I remember in the begining of the year that I updated the compiler to a newer versions because some core like Stella and NeoCD are crashing with old versions of the compiler

My system: Ubuntu 18.04 64bits CPU: Intel Core i5 M460 GPU: Nvidia GT310M

Try to build the core from upstream instead: https://github.com/flyinghead/flycast You can also try standalone Flycast to see if it helps.

I installed the Flatpak version and give me the same results.

It's likely a graphics driver issue. Which drivers are you using on your machines? Mesa or proprietary?

What GPU/driver has your other system (the working one)?

emersonnovais commented 2 years ago

My notebook used a hybrid video card. To play games I use the the Nvidia GPU instead the Intel. I using a proprietary Nvidia driver: 340.108

Using the Intel driver works fine. I had the last version of Lakka instaled and works fine with Intel driver but the issues persists when using the proprietary driver
