How did you manage to configure your ISP settings?
I used Planet Web 3.0 disc but my Reios doesn't boot after configured - so I need to delete the dc_nvmem.bin file. I think that Reicast core isn't booting my dc_bios.bin with the provided dc_flash.bin (different hash than the one from the official manual).
I will try to record a video later after trying other browser discs.
I followed the Quake 3 method listed at https://www.libretro.com/index.php/reicast-libretro-now-supports-online-multiplayer-zero-configuration-online-dreamcast-gaming-for-the-first-time-ever/
Did @flyinghead tested network functionality on macOS ?
functionality on macOS
So many good reasons to troll about those 3 words put together... but to answer to your question, he never mentioned macOS being one of his test platforms, so i don't think it is.
I did test on OS X although not recently. The US version of Sonic Adventure doesn't let me connect online either. However both the JP International and the EU do. I was able to download DLC to a vmu. On your video of the JP version, everything seems to work fine except for the dreampipe.net bulletin board main page, which is big. I was able to load it but it took a while. And these sites may be down quite often.
Other than the problem with the US version it seems to work fine.
Using the tutorial involving Quake 3 Arena, I managed to get Sonic Adventure to connect to sonic1.dreampipe.net ... sort of. It doesn't seem to let me download anything or connect to other websites...and that's only for SA International (JP). SA US doesn't let me even get that far!
