Crashes with dream explorer + fast forward. #754

I'm getting consistent crashes while booting into Dream Explorer to use the VMU Emulator that it comes with to play minigames. My log is reporting the following bug:

[INFO] Unloading core.. [INFO] Unloading core symbols.. [INFO] [Video]: Does not have enough samples for monitor refresh rate estimation. Requires to run for at least 4096 frames. [INFO] [Video]: Does not have enough samples for monitor refresh rate estimation. Requires to run for at least 4096 frames.

Using Open GL with a 1050 card. Halp.

Btw, running Pinta's Quest (for Skies of Arcadia)

Can you post your vmu file here?

Apocalypse612 commented 4 years ago

Sure. Sorry I can't give more details, I don't think I'm doing the logging thing correctly.

Here's the file: https://gofile.io/?c=AgBldk

I'm using Dream Explore 0.8,5 (latest version). Additionally, it takes about 15 minutes worth of fast forwarding for it to crash, and it happens every OTHER attempt or so (at least for me).

If there's a specific manner in which you need me to capture it for a log file, or dump, I can attempt if I have instructions as to what you want.

Cheers

I've read the RetroArch logging instructions for a non-installed version (I have the single-folder version), and I believe I've captured the crash correctly this time.

Near the bottom, you will see the error produced (not sure why it repeated itself so many times).

retroarch-log.txt

In essence, it looks like: [libretro ERROR] 03:19:932 libretro/common.cpp:84 E[COMMON]: [GPF]Unhandled access to : 000000001da7a120

Whatever that means.

Here's another crash log, that didn't produce an error at all.
