Clicking "close content" causes Retroarch to go back to the Project Eris title screen. I wouldn't really mind this at all but the crash also erases game-specific options file and core overrides. Time spent mapping specific keys to controller buttons is wasted and has to be done all over again.
Running a new game (without closing) and even launching a different core/game does not have this effect.
