Space Invaders Deluxe Sound is distorted #133

Game rom: invaddlx 1.7.1 - Mame 2010 0.139 c66718f

The sound levels of the descrete emulation cause the (aliens moving) sound effects to "crackle" and "pop" even at low volume.

Lowering the sample rate, sliders controls and even external speaker settings do not improve it.

This discrete sound emulation was added by Derek Renaud in Mame 0115b to replace the standard sample sounds used in previous versions.

Can the levels can be adjusted to remove this distortion?

The iisueseems to have bee fixed in lr-mame2015.

Can this update/fix be backported? Here is a video link to an example of the issue....
