I am a Raspberry Pi user with Sinden lightguns trying to seek out as many arcade gun games as possible. As with the 2015 and 2016 iterations of libretro MAME, 2010 finds a nice balance of a large ROM set and performance in the Pi.
For example, this 2010 iteration of MAME appears to be the only core available on the Pi that plays Point Blank 2 at full speed, and it is one of only two (2015 being the other) that will allow Judge Dredd (jdredd) to be played.
My request is that the xy-device = lightgun support be added to lr-mame2010 so that multiple gun-like devices (such as the Sinden lightguns) can be used simultaneously without the need for analog adjustments in the MAME tab menu. Such support is already available for lr-mame2003plus and lr-fbneo as well as several console cores.
I hope that someone out there sees this and has the desire to implement my request!
