Hide overscan on Angrylion does not work #612

Open nfp0 opened 4 years ago

The setting parallel-n64-angrylion-overscan is not working correctly and should at least be hidden until fixed since it produces incorrect results and does not crop the overscan at all.

All these problems will be rectified with the upcoming update.

There is no ETA, as this is done entirely in my spare time.

nfp0 commented 4 years ago

Was this rectified in the recent update or were you talking about the next one? Not pressuring. I just want to close this issue if it's fixed.

next one

Has any of this changed with the awesome recent Parallel RDP update?

mudlord commented 4 years ago

I had a look.

For some reason, cropping the display buffer on AL+'s side doesn't seem to work right indeed in libretro. It seems to be modifying the fb->width variables and other stuff right. not 100% sure what the go is, but i saw a note in the libretro angrylion src saying it had problems.

Still broken? Guess I'll use a standalone emulator in the meantime.

nfp0 commented 3 years ago

@Tenome I can't check it right now, but I believe this has been fixed in the ParallelRDP renderer. If it's possible, you should use ParallelRDP instead of Angrylion as long as you have a Vulkan capable graphics card, as it will give you exactly the same picture output with much less CPU usage. Give it a try.
