Super Mario RPG appears to be broken right now.

Have you tried the more updated Snes9x 1.55 core? 2005 with all due respect, is outdated and primarily for weaker devices.

I'm quite familiar with the 2010 and main Snes9x cores, it's just that the 2005 core should be able to run Mario RPG, but doesn't.

Snes9x 2005 is based off of 1.51, it's a very outdated and broken core. No one but a few people who use older devices should be using it IMO. I don't know if anyone will end up fixing an older Snes9x TBH.
