Mention autogen.sh #12

This was not mentioned at all and left me wondering where the configure script was.

The reason autogen is not mentioned is it would not be run from a release tarball. autogen is only for git checkouts.

OK, thanks for clarifying. Still think it should be documented somewhere, like a note pointing to that fact ("If you are building from the repo, do ...")

And where are the release tarballs? Since nothing is mentioned in the README, and there were no packages in Ubuntu, I checked the "Relases" page here on GH. There is not a configure.sh script in any of the tarballs from 2013-2018

Excellent point. Looks like I dropped the ball on making the official tarballs. Will upload them tonight.

I agree that the README needs some notes about building from git. Will have to think about where that should go.
