Puzzle rating not updating on the android mobile app #1126

Bug report

Current behavior:

The puzzle rating doesn't update. I get new puzzles but I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and then I get all old puzzles with my rating still not being updated.

Expected behavior:

The expected behavior is to just get new puzzles with the rating being updated normally.

Steps to reproduce:

For me it's pretty simple, just go to the puzzle section and try solving any puzzle, the rating won't update. I've been experiencing it since the past 3 days now.

Why is this bug being ignored?

I have same experience, almost 6 months later. And the actual issue appears to be years old.

Maybe they're not ignoring it, but are busy with the other 262 open issues. It's free software being worked on by volunteers, roll up your sleeves and get in there!

That's not useful. I'm not an Android developer. If you're intending that users should not file bug reports, then sorry not sorry. A bug that's been kicked into backlog for 2 years should be handled in some other manner - even if it's just marked as "do not fix." Then people coming in afterward will know that it has been looked at. This one isn't even assigned.

What do you mean assigned? How many people do you think are working on this app? Have you looked at https://github.com/veloce/lichobile/graphs/contributors ?

Your imagination of how this project works is completely invented. As far as you or I know, this app is simply badly in need of someone to work on it. Everyone is welcome to file issues, but nobody should feel entitled to other people's labor.
