The splash screen is a Capacitor plugin, hopefully this will be resolved with the Capacitor 3 upgrade - let's check again after that release.
Thank you.
@oidicle version 7.13.0 with Capacitor 3 was released 8 days ago - do you mind updating to at least that version and seeing if this is still a problem?
The playstore still lists the September version How do I get a hold of the v13.0.apk for sideloading?
Oops, I only checked the iOS store - it will be released soon, stay tuned!

Only today did the update show up in the Playstore. I went ahead and updated. The issue remains, sadly for me. I've reverted to v7. 11.3. For now.
Hi @jas14 after all this time I've discovered what causes this issue to occur. It is the systemwide clear theme option on my device. It works fine with all the other options displayed in the image below.
@veloce is there a workaround to this? Like making the app ignore clear themes or something.
I really don't want to keep switching back and forth between dark and clear themes.
Thanks for your patience. __ CiD
Huh. Good find! I'm not even sure how to test this, let alone fix it. Is this a factory theme option on your phone, or did you install it from somewhere?
It comes with BlissRom v12 on Android 10. I'm not sure if one could also perhaps try to replicate this issue on another android phone with stock theming app by installing a transparent theme... I'm limited on my side.

Good day
I've been waiting for someone to notice this issue ever since the latest update but it seems I may be the only one affected.
It happens that with the dark splash screen update (v7. 12.0), the logo remains overlayed on-screen, it doesn't disappear unless I switch to another app and then back to lichess using the recent apps switcher.
My system specs: Android 10 BlissRom v12 Samsung galaxy note 5
Please confirm with the attached clip.
