Can't move any pieces #12428

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Start a new game (either against a player or a bot)

What did you expect to happen?

To be able to move the pieces

What happened instead?

I am unable to move any pieces. Clicking on a piece does not show the available legal moves. This happened in both browsers I tried.

Operating system

Linux (Guix)

Browser and version (or alternate access method)

qutebrowser v2.5.2 and Chromium 109.0.5414.119

Additional information

2023-02-23-211632_1366x768_scrot Playing against another player.

I was able to play on this same system with the same browsers a few days ago with no problem.
