1 year ago I know there's a daily hyper arena already, but it's significantly weaker than the elite bullet arena. Also, in 1+0 bullet it's very easy to find many opponents in the pool, and you'll actually play fewer unique opponents in the elite bullet arena than you would in the pool. Hyperbullet is the opposite - players often play long matches because it's very difficult to find another opponent, so you'd get to play more unique players in an arena. So my hope would be that the elite hyper would be even stronger than the elite bullet.
Hi, my lichess ID is https://lichess.org/@/gmbmw. Myself and many other players would like Lichess to add a 2200+ hyperbullet arena, mirroring the existing 2200+ standard bullet arena. As you probably know, hyperbullet is very popular at high ratings, and some notable players (penguin, opper, etc) supported this idea. The pool for hyperbullet is pretty empty compared to 1+0, so this tournament would be a better way to find opponents, and get to play many people instead of repeatedly rematching. If the team thinks this is a good idea, I can find a good time to add the tournament. Thanks!
