@M-DinhHoangViet I would be keen to create one. How can I do that? is there a reference doc on how to create bots?
Maia has a very well defined purpose and scope. It is meant to be a more human-like engine/bot. This is a very attractive points in my point of view.
There is a detailed research paper about technical aspect of it and also below is comparison of Maia vs Stockfish.
At lower level(my level), I feel like it makes more humanly mistakes.
Hi, there is a bot project in early stages of development and it looks like you've been looped into the discussion.
I've finally managed to catch up to Maia1.
I'll probably continue playing it for a little while to ensure I become stronger before considering moving on from Maia1. Alternatively, I might opt for shorter time-frame games to improve on the other time control.
As I was exploring the available bots, I noticed that Maia offers 9 different bots designed for various rating ranges. However, when I checked the list of bots on Lichess, I found that only Maia1, Maia5, and Maia9 are accessible.
The skill gap between Maia1 and Maia5 is quite significant, especially for someone like me.
I've actually been utilizing Maia1 extensively to enhance my chess skills, and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. I wouldn't be asking about this if I weren't using it so frequently.
Is there a possibility of adding other versions of Maia to the list? What is the process for doing so? Can I or someone else add these additional Maia versions, or does it have to be handled by Lichess staff, given that Maia bots are featured prominently in the list?
Below is my current score board for ~10(Rapid) games against Maia1
