Translations for variations, ping and server are unlikely to happen, as the translated equivalents may not be present and the keys, like "Lichess", is unlikely to have an externalized equivalent matching a foreign style (similar to the katakana writing style from jp).

Translations for variations ... are unlikely to happen.

It's sad, I think about users from Russia, China and other countries who don't use the Latin alphabet. They can't even understand the games present on the site. That numbers several hundred millions people ... ( I hope Lichess will hold with 1 million players online :D )

• This full internationalization of Lichess means that we have to dismiss some constraints on the characters in the name of players.

In the rating stats, the following are not translated (at least in French):

• the menu (Community » Rating stats: the sub-menu is in english);
• the legends in the charts (“Your rating”, “Glicko2 rating”, “Cumulative”);
• the variations list (“Blitz ratings”, etc.).

Also, in the main top menu, in Watch, the Games in progress sub-menu is not translated in French.

What about the descriptive tooltips? They should be translated I think. And the server word is likely to have a translation in every language. Even without, they can be translatable and only translated if an equivalent is available.

Ok, I know. That depends on how soon my first PR #1548 will be implemented. That's because I can't sync my branch with the current stage so it will be easier for me to finish this PR, then clone latest lila again and add the rest strings. Let's hope that @ornicar and @Unihedro have some time for that (they don't sometimes have it for the main development though).

In automatic analysis, the actual analysis is not translated (to French in my case).

"Best move is " -> "Le meilleur coup est" "Blunder" -> "Gaffe" "Error" -> "Erreur" ...
