@Carbrex Thanks for the link to the great video. It's useful in some cases but I still prefer the visual editor when importing a position from an OTB game for example.
While a visual clue on how to use FEN is probably an excellent suggestion, adding keyboard shortcuts to ease construction of a position sounds great too.

I use the board editor a lot, and find myself dragging pieces all the time. Keyboard shortcuts to select a particular piece would make my workflow much faster.
Also, the generic keyboard shortcut to flip the board (F) already works on the board editor. It would be great to add keyboard shortcuts for the other 2 main buttons (starting position, clear board).
