Can't set email address #15788

Exact URL of where the bug happened

I got the following message:

No email associated with your account

Hello, as you have an early Lichess account, no email was required when you registered.

However this makes it easy for you to lose access to your account. If you forget your password, or if your password is leaked from another website, or if we decide that your password is too easy-to-guess to be secure, your account will be lost.

Please visit lichess.org/account/email to set your account email address. That way, you'll be able to reset your password when needed.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. I go to https://lichess.org/account/email
  2. I fill in my password and my email adress.
  3. I click the Submit button

What did you expect to happen?

I should get an email.

What happened instead?

I got no email. I tried it several times in the last few months.

Windows 11

Browser and version (or alternate access method)

Brave 1.67.134
