Discussion: Demand as coordinates

Initial problem:

The computation of path when the OD is coordinates is heavy in terms of computation and code

Curently this computation follow these steps:

• Get the nodes inside the circle centered on the origin and destination
• If no nodes inside those correspond to the demand available mobility service, increase both until it is good
• Else create virtual nodes at the origin and destination, then connect the OD to every nodes inside their circles
• Compute shortest path
• If not path found increase circle for origin and destination, repeat until a path is found

Proposition:

Either:

• Purely remove this possibility and add utils to transform demand at coordinate level to demand at the node level
• Improve it

Comments

• Removing the runtime modification of the graph allows parallelization of shortest path computation
