Feature/net peer optimization #100

optimises net peer significantly, but needs further testing

additionally requires you to instruct the library to start, and stop thread specifically now, see unit tests for examples!

Meant to merge with own repo not the main. I'm also doubtful that this will ever get merged, since original author has stopped maintaining and only accepts small patches.
