gmailchecker, tooltip not visible, rendered outside of visible area #12

I have the icon of gmailchecker display on the right upper corner of my screen.
When I hover over the icon, the tooltip appears right below the icon. However,
this renders the tooltip outside of the visible area.

Is there a way to change this behavior (e.g., to get the tooltip displayed left
under the icon)? Are my xorg settings to blame?

I use ver. 0.2.3-1 from the AUR. It runs under i3.

I don't think this is something I can fix in my script. My guess is there is
some issues between yad and i3. To narrow down the issue, you can try another
window manager. For example, I'm using openbox and tint2(taskbar) and it works
very well. You can also contact yad developer for more help (he's very good at
responding to issue/request)
