Next steps to set up previous OP episodes

To add an episode from an old podcast to a new podcast on Substack and ensure it gets pushed through to platforms like Spotify and Apple Podcasts, you'll need to manually re-upload the episode under the new podcast setup. Here’s how to do it:

1. Download the Episode:
   • Ensure you have a local copy of the audio file for the episode that wasn't pushed to Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
2. Log into Substack:
   • Go to your Dashboard and click on the Podcast tab.
3. Create a New Episode:
   • Select "New episode" to start creating a post for your podcast.
   • Upload the audio file you saved earlier.
   • Fill in the episode details such as title, description, and any other relevant information.
4. Publish the Episode:
   • Once you've uploaded and filled out the details, choose the publish settings.
   • Make sure to select the correct audience and verify that the episode is set to be included in your RSS feed.
5. Check Distribution Settings:
   • Go to the Podcast settings in your Substack dashboard.
   • Ensure that your podcast is properly set up to distribute to Spotify and Apple Podcasts. This might involve checking the RSS feed settings and making sure that the feed URL is correctly submitted to these platforms.

Update after speaking with Spotify Podcasters

Initially I received incorrect information from support that swapping the Substack podcast to host the LI podcast is not that straightforward and we have to transfer every episode across from Spotify to Substack if we want to use Substack as our host moving forward. This is not true after speaking with a different team support. However, I am now experiencing problems in clearing our substack Ordinary People podcast settings to relink our spotify RSS feed - to support podcast hosting via Substack. Substack automated help hasn't fixed the problem, so I have logged a request for direct support.

FIXED. Took longer than anticipated but all working now. And Bonnitta Roy episode live and synced to LI Podcast.
