Valerie has asked that the call for a residency is made clearer on the web page and social networks, to include more information on the type of person this is aimed at "we want the secular monk interested in exploring the good life in an engaged posture" .

2023-09-14 Meeting

Present: Lauren, Nathen, Valerie Intention: clarity on what the next phase is for residencies and the support needed

notes

mid oct - mid april residency. Minimum engagement - ideally 3 months but will be flexible
A home to experience coworking/coliving and monastery aspects
Purpose: to give people a container from the spine of the meals/cooking/cleaning/gardening in the MVPs and meeting for 1 hour min everyday. and 1 circle per week.
Aim is 11 people (2 already)
Financial support - no, none (intership only) (in future may be able to arrange funding)
creating a membership based model - basic 15euro / invested 50euro / donate as a supporter - basic required for all hub residencies

Intern role

Covers operational aspects: accounting, content during residencies for SM&whatsapp, supports the Guardian - organizing repairs etc and organisation of house (i.e. system for sheets), gardening etc. Arrival on 12th Oct - 3 days prior.
Includes:
- 1 room and food
- pocket money 300euro pm
- insurance/liability
hours 4(-6) per day 5 days pw
great for future community leaders / those wanting to expand a varied skillset / develop a stronger inner practive
needs to compliment Valerie's skillset
possibility of intership visa for UK (or limited to only 3 months?)?

Next steps

[x] add in extra items to the form related to mental health and their current practice, what is your purpose? have you read the T&Cs
[x] update and tidy T&Cs and bedroom info doc and turn into a pdf and put in an open access folder, 🚧 2023-09-20 @Postnormalval to review comments on bedroom doc then this can be turned into a pdf - basic reformatting done
[x] Create press kit - graphic and key info post

to update blog post as the intern is now no pocket money + 2 months at a time only.
The rooms prices can be updated on residency page only (as it is different pricing structure for long term residency only) - awaiting information related to pdf uploading to website or not.

Info from #799 after our talk with Liam and Rufus. We want more people embracing presence and purpose within a light MVP frame , with core resident for 3 to 6 months and guest from Life itself coming around, doing events but in a light , joyful and emergent way. This is not a curated residencies, this is a residency for people who need a spine to feel community energy but have the purpose to use this energy for their own project , having also the possibility to print their project around discussion with other creative and engaged people . Hi Valerie @Postnormalval, If you go into the Press Pack folder which is in the Fall Winter 2023 folder - you will see different infographics and a pdf you can download and share with Elizabeth related to the intern and hub residency

@Postnormalval the pdfs are available in the Fall folder. Please note the T&Cs have new edits from another member that need to be reviewed by you and then the pdf redone. I haven't uploaded the pdfs to the webpage yet - do you still want these on the webpage?

Dear Lauren Things are moving smoothly at the hub , but I think it is nice to share with you some changes . The hub will be supported by Alexia for this residency which will also work for general life itself comms . She will do with me the on boarding for MVP and will be there half of the time most probably also to do interviews, document the residency . So it seems that we might not take another intern but if rooms left we could propose a scholarship as you suggested for something we would like to explore more specifically.

Then now for your questions : Do you mean to put the PDF of terms and conditions and rooms in the residency page ? I would say yes for the terms and conditions but not for the rooms . We could do that when all rooms will be available from January and put them without price in the general presentation of the hub .

thanks @Postnormalval , I will leave @alexianetcu the task to add the pdf to the webpage (good practice for you Alexia and also not urgent so you can do when you feel more confident using obsidian/we can have a quick chat in a stand up if needed this week). Also when you know about January you can arrange the room pdf with Alexia also. There is an intern application and email that will need replying to (praxis was cc'd in) -perhaps you could do that today to update them accordingly. I will now close the issue.
