iPhone Browser crashes since iTunes 9 Release. #135

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download of ONLY iTunes 9
2. Plug in iPhone 3Gs
3. Open iPhone Browser

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to be able to view the files found on the iPhone, but instead, the
system crashes with the following message, and asks if I want to send an
error report.

"iPhoneBrowser had encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry
for the inconvenience."

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iTunes 9.0
iPhone 3Gs on 3.0 JB
iPhone Browser 1.9.1.0
Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3

Please provide any additional information below.
I have not updated to iPhone OS 3.1, only downloaded iTunes 9.0. I have
used this system prior to today on NUMEROUS occasions with absolutely no
issues. Since the iTunes update, I have yet to connect to iPhoneBrowser
successfully.

iPhone Explorer doesn't seem to allow "real" access. Am I missing something
here?

iphone-explorer allow full access, at first run, click file menu, select root
directory then choose the first option.

I just tried out Iphone Explorer after hearing all this and I have to say I
like it
better than Iphonebrowser. You can't quick link to certain directories, yet I
guess,
but overall it appears to be more stable, better graphics, and has a nice drag
and
drop feature..try it..
