I did NOT check if the mzTab-M specs somewhere define/allow # as comment char.
In that case, the fix would be a tad more complex ...

Thanks for the fix! The # character is indeed not allowed in mzTab-M as a comment, instead, comment lines need to be started with COM in the first column, followed by arbitrary text in the second column.
