Use data-raw? #1

Thank you for this package! It would be helpful to see how the datasets were collected. Would it be possible to add a data-raw directory to show how each dataset was constructed?

Hi Harmon

Sure, in the next update (December 2024 or January 2025 tops), I will add a data-raw directory, but if you check out the README_Licenses.md file all the datasets that are part of usdatasets were taken from the R ecosystem, were taken from other data sets package I added a suffix to the end of each data set name so the user can tell what type and structure of the data set is

I also have other package already published at the CRAN the timeSeriesDataSets a collection of data sets about time series also taken from other data sets packages and I did the same took all the data sets from other package in the R ecosystem, just for this very first time being my first release for those packages 0.1.0

Thank you for your advice and taking the time to send me an email, I really appreciate it.

Best Regards

Renzo

Aha! It would be clearer if you noted that in the dataset documentation, under @source.

lightbluetitan commented 2 weeks ago

Sure I did, check this out it's part of the documentation of the usdatasets package as you can see I tell the user right away that the datas set is part of the R ecosystem and talking about @source I did mention the origins of the data set image image
