Malware warning? #131

Having downloaded the OSX node launcher i'm getting the following warning from ESET Cyber Security Pro.

Object: Node Launcher/bitcoin/bitcoin-0.17.1/bin/bitcoind Threat: a variant of OSX/CoinMiner.V potentially unwanted application.

Had a quick look and thats malware designed to mine in the background. Is there a simple explanation?

Sigh, another way altcoiners are ruining the world. In all likelihood the bitcoind binary resembles altcoin binaries that are used by malware for mining.

If anyone has suggestions on how to get whitelisted I'm all ears

The node launcher downloads bitcoin from here https://bitcoincore.org/bin/bitcoin-core-0.17.1/

Do you mind downloading bitcoin-0.17.1-win64.zip and scanning it to see it the malware detector gets triggered? Obviously I don't think anything nefarious is going on but this problem may be outside of our control

Nothing when i download and scan the files. But I've run bitcoin-0.17.1-osx.dmg and getting the same warning (i'm using OSX).
