Uses the bitcoind client to generate on-chain address with the getnewaddress command.

I see what you mean, I never considered it's using the default bitcoind wallet so probably wouldn't be that much use. Shall I close both prs?

Unless you have a strong motivation for this PR I'd assume we should close it, yes :).
