Description

How to run the app againts the testnet without running a bitcoin node locally?

Steps to reproduce the behavior

Lightning.app/Contents/MacOS/Lightning --bitcoin.testnet

Gives an error [11:14:55.103] [error] lnd Error: unable to load RPC credentials for btcd: unable to extract RPC credentials: open /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Btcd/btcd.conf: no such file or directory, cannot start w/o RPC connection

You will have to use neutrino mode, check out https://github.com/lightninglabs/lightning-app#starting-the-packaged-app-light-client
