This patch changes the mailing list link to http. I'm not sure who I should contact about getting proper https configured on lightning.community itself.

Hi Grant, would you mind quickly changing this to a // link so that it won't break again once we update to https?

Changed it as requested, but this will still cause problems if someone clicks on the link directly from the .md file in github itself when github auto-renders the markdown.

Noted. I don't think that is too much of an issue though, since pretty much everyone will be looking at the tutorial from the site itself. Thank you Grant!
