unable to select .tcc2 file to downgrade my os on my TI-nspire cx cas ii

I have the same issue. When I select the OS file for my CX CAS II, one of two things happen:

The progress circle (top right) flashes black for a millisecond, then nothing; OR The progress circle goes all black, and nothing happens. I left it overnight and when I came back, there was no progress.

This software is my last resort. The Computer Link software doesn't recognize the calculator.
