When I use ‘Ads and Tracking’ filter on AdGuard for IOS devices (both Iphone & Ipad) it, Software instantly stops working. But all of your other filters are working fine. #329

Tried disabling and enabling all six of your filters, with Ads & Tracking - Facebook Extended & Tracking Aggressive aren’t working simultaneously. But if I disable any one of these two, (with Ads & Tracking) Adguard is working fine.

@dhandavivek check out the logs and see which domain(s) interfere and post it here, otherwise don't expect much help to be honest.

I don’t have that much knowledge. But you can take a look at the video am attaching, the VPN - made by AdGuard in Full tunnel mode ( which is visible in status bar) getting permanent disabled until I disable one of Facebook Extended or Tracking Aggressive filters. I tried it with other filters also, it’s not working anyone of them (which are also present in the list from video). @dnmTX

...then i would advise you to post it in the apropriate repo: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForiOS/issues so the team there investigate further and try to find a solution. From what i see,AG for iOS just got major update and many issues were posted in the past couple of days so i guess there are still things that needs to be looked at.

P.S. Another suggestion is to NOT use the Tracking Aggressive and Facebook Extended due to high probability of false positives.

Merry Christmas! I don't really have time right now to read everything, but I strongly recommend not using the Tracking Aggressive list

This issue is about the ‘Ads & Tracking’ filter, they (both aggressive and Facebook extended) are working fine with every other filter present in the list. But this one is not. Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll post the issue there also.

Well... tracking aggressive isn't really false positives- but it's the list that everything ends up in that breaks something- might as well rename it to the 'breaks everything' list 😆

As for the Facebook list. It doesn't have any false positives, and is highly effective. However the goal of that list is to completely block Facebook and Facebook owned services. That means Facebook, instagram, oculus, giphy, messenger, WhatsApp, etc. I suppose people don't read the descriptions and get surprised when Facebook services stop working- but that's the point.

The only one I really recommend is the Ads & Tracking one. And even then, my lists aren't for everybody. I use them all, but they are also highly targeted to my needs 😉.
