Update Passbook wallet automatically

I have a Passbook file from Starbucks and it needs to be updated every so often so I may get information about a Starbucks promotion. It's unclear if Passbook files are automatically updated in this app. If this is not already a feature I would like to see a option to enable auto updates of some Passbook files.

Interesting use-case - this feature does not yet exist - are you able to share the passbook with me - would make development easier - I currently do not even have a passbook that has the update feature

The Passbook file in question is public but you will have to spoof your web browser user agent as a iPhone, iPod Touch, or some other mobile Apple device before the site will let you download the Passbook file.

Also just to let you know, as far as I can tell this is a legit Passbook promotion run by Starbucks or Starbucks related event but I'm not actually sure so please let me know if this is a scam.

Thanks for the link - but it seems to require that I give them my phone-number - this is a no-go for me. I really rarely give out my phone-number - even to friends - I will have to find another way ..

They restrict downloads to Apple devices, just change your web browser's user agent and it will download without asking for a phone number.

But anyways I'll upload my copy since I believe it's the same Passbook file that everyone will get on download. I added the .txt extension to the file name since github wouldn't let me upload a Passbook file

I have use-case for this feature too: Russian cafe Mumu allows now to use not only specialized mobile app, but any pkpass capable pass storage. The only problem is that it requires to update pass regularly: after every transaction, and also after some timeout (24h I guess).

So my current scenario is:

1. Open PassAndroid just before entering cafe
2. Open associated pass
3. Update it
4. Go back to main page, cause it doesn't automatically shows updated pass
5. Open pass again

It will be awesome to have checkboxes somewhere (maybe separate pass-related settings page?):

• "always update before show" - for use-cases where it is important to use latest version
• "always update when opening (in parallel)" - for cases where eventual consistency is ok
