Lightning distance calculation #237

I'm surprised that it isn't anywhere in the manual, would be very useful info to know. Preferably in miles and km.

If it's proven to be useful for survival, I don't see why not particularly when lightning can be very destructive (particularly on tall structures).

What kind of information would you provide and where in the book would it go?

I would probably put it in the Tropical section since the Hostile Areas one with the lightning bolt icon isn't the correct subject.

Even just the formulas would be good

I suppose it could be part of a larger section on tropical weather.
