can not connect speakers to chrome cast #464

Hey I looked at my chrome cast and it seems that it has its own WiFi. Cool. 

I am no developer but maybe someone could get inspired to create a chrome cast 
active speaker WiFi dongle that connects my active speakers directly to my 
chrome cast WiFi and streams the sound to the speakers.

I could then connect multiple speakers to the chrome cast and would no longer 
require to buy an additional WiFi speaker system.

Would this be doable?
