cast icon disappeared from the chrome browser.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.tried to reboot router, reset chromecast,

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
chrome browser is working fine but i do not have the chromecast cast icon on 
youtube or netflix. it worked fine until this morning. chromecast on my tablet 
(Nexus) and desktop (Win 7) works fine.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.
tried to download the cast extension thru Add Extension but i get the message 
"Network_failed".

it seems that i get the same "Network_failed" message anytime i try to add new 
icons/apps from the Web Store..
