Update build for Lion #281

I noticed, when looking through the source files, that the auxiliary build 
files/scripts will break under Lion, maybe even Snow Leopard. For one, it 
assumes that the compiler will be either 32-bit Intel or 32-bit PowerPC, while 
on I think Snow Leopard and I know on Lion that the compiler is 64-bit Intel. 
Also, with Xcode 4.3, the location of the SDKs has moved, so the build scripts 
need to be updated.
