Can you please tell me how can I use HiC data instead of a reference genome in the 1st step? Do I need to anchor HiC data to the Hifiasm contig assembly using SALSA or any other scaffolder to be used as a reference? But if that's case, the scaffold assembly which I should put in the 1st step is the same as it, as I have generated the scaffold assembly also using SALSA with HiC.
I am not clear how can I use HiC data in the 1st step if I don't have a good genome. I kindly request your advice on this.
