Windows 7 Icon issue with Aug4 release and some eariler versions #24

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Just installing the program
2. open the program

The big icon on Windows7 start menu for xvid4psp doesn't show properly and I
usually edit it and direct it to WPF_VideoPlayer.exe which has proper icon files

this is super low priority but I hope next version the main exe file has the
right bitmaps

Cheers :)

I just installed the latest one and most of the icons worked except when you
try to pin the program

I still didn't checked it on my Win7 64, can`t find the time (I`m on XP and
Win7 is on another HDD, being used only for testing). Will check it and then
reply..

Well, for me it works fine. The only think I can`t check - is how it looks in
the native Start menu, because my Start menu is modified (in Classic-style).
Rebooting also didn`t change anything for me.

It's just plain weird bug for me, it works then it doesn't work ... wtf but
once linking shortcut icon to the player instead of the encoder everything
works ok
now linked it back to xvid4psp exe file ... will see if it stays on. I wonder
if windows doing some weird security setting on it to behave strangely like that
