Some grass blocks are black textures aside's from the grass top? #84

I'm playing the game and I see that some grass blocks are just black with only the grass on the top only but some grass blocks are normal? image does this have to do with Minecraft or the mod can someone please help fix this issue?

can you show how the black grass block looks up close, with proper lighting?
