Channels and Direct Messages here refer to the side bar display, mostly. Functionality of messaging will be in the next issue.

[ ] when clicking Channels, the channel list toggles on collapse
[ ] shows corresponding messages when clicking on channels
[ ] shows the channel name on top of the messaging board
[ ] shows the chosen channel's current member amount on the top right corner
[ ] can add a channel, and the added channel will show up on the side bar
[ ] side bar is scrollable without the scrollbar showing for modern browsers like chrome, firefox...etc.

[ ] when clicking Direct messages, the channel list toggles on collapse
[ ] the current user always lists as the first on the direct message's list, with a 'you' next to it
[ ] shows corresponding direct messages when clicking on user names

Main feature ahead, search bar for channels & users

[ ] can edit channel description by clicking on add a topic
[ ] can leave the channel by clicking the top right corner (other features will be coming.. with the search bar?)
[ ] can search and then add choose a channel
[ ] if the searched channel is public, can click to join
[ ] if the searched channel is private, can send a request.. how to handle that? maybe add a bot? (low priority)
[ ] DM does not show the header info that channel is currently showing
