I hope it isn't ☹️
Maybe there is some chance of taking it up where he left off if there's enough volunteers. It's open-source after all.
I asked the same a few months ago and was pointed to #573
Agreed!

Hey guys, I'm happy to see there is still some people wanting to work on this project. I personally haven't had much time to work on this since I got a new job, and the other devs are pretty busy as well.
I'm around enough that I can review pull requests and give direction here and there. I may also find some time to put some work into the project again, if there's any interest in helping.
If any can mentor me, I can take up a feature or bug to fix
I would like to contribute too. But I will be needing a mentor.
I don't have time for development currently, but I can help with understanding the code, packages and project goals.
As with @ricochet1k and @zoli, I'm not available to work on the project, but am more than happy to get others going, review PRs, etc.
Would it be easier if you set teams up and organize more people into the respective teams, providing them with the appropriate read/write access to contribute? Especially easy with what permissions you can grant with github these days.
This might be make things easier on the current 5 contributors.
I just post here to get updates on this thread. I want success for Limetext !
I think the biggest problem here is the lack of leadership. There are probably few people over here who want to participate (🖖), but what this project essentially need is some guy or girl, with some good expierience in Go and this kind of projects, who can take some time to get familiar with source and organise things up.
I'm really willing to cooperate, but I'm just some young frontend junior, who written 200 LOC in Go, and I'm shure there are more ppl like me here.
Maybe, https://github.com/google/xi-editor could be an alternative ?
This project definitely need more marketing and contributors.
LOL, Don't you like it? fork it, develop it, code it. Talk is cheap! ;)
I don't think there is anything left here to say.
I'm using sublime text daily and I was hoping this project to get some traction,
