`RSVP` not explained until the section under Dietary Requirements in UG

At first, you have introduced the term RSVP in your introduction as shown in the image below.

I wasn't very sure what RSVP means and hope that I can obtain an explanation under the RSVP Status panel section which to no avail. Throughout the section, the term RSVP is heavily utilized, which I am still unsure what it actually does/means.

Only through the image below:

I am then able to infer that RSVP is a status that indicates whether a guest is arriving for the wedding, which I believe could have been explained earlier. Perhaps you could have explained under the RSVP Status panel section. Otherwise, users have to search up the internet for this acronym used to understand its meaning.

We believe it is best not to define the term RSVP as:

• It is common knowledge for our target audience of wedding planners. This is because the term RSVP very commonly used in event and wedding planning.
• For the above reason, defining it can be harmful as it might make our user guide seem patronizing and not tailored to our target audience.

Reason for disagreement: Well it may be a common term utilized for wedding planners, I believe not all of them will know this term. Like I mentioned, this is the very first time I came across this term RSVP and I can certainly be your target audience for your application. The reason you provided isn't strong enough to justify against defining the term RSVP. Let me provide you a suggestion:

The RSVP Status panel is designed to help you keep track of the proportion of your guests that are expected to turn up for your wedding.

I don't see why the above can be considered as harmful, patronizing and not tailored to target audience. I believe you can ask a third party for suggestion and ask them to read the above statement if this statement has made them feel "less".

Unless you are trying to suggest that your application is tailored to younger audiences but then again, I am one of the younger audience which you have failed to capture the attention. I am sure those who are of an older age (perhaps who divorce and remarry again) will not know of this term RSVP.
