Use same login for different top level domains #563

Open ceving opened 5 years ago

ceving commented 5 years ago

Missing feature

Use the same login for different top level domains.

Example: amazon.com and amazon.de

A pattern rule for the URL would be nice.

Example: amazon.*

Justification

Some international companies use a single sign on for all sites.

Workarounds

I do not know any.

Hello there! Yep... that one is quite tricky... but we're working on it and have something in mind :)

Is it possible to have this feature even for different domain names? This can be useful for the websites like Wikimedia Foundation (wikipedia.org, wikimedia.org, wikidata.org, etc.) which are using a unified login system.

BTW, lastpass is implementing this feature by having an "equivalent domains" list

Totally agree, this would be a great feature.

Even if it's a rudimentary list of domains in an array, in a file we can submit Pull Requests to.

If I cycle a password for Amazon, I have to change it in several entries for example (Australian, so we have the standard Amazon sites, and separate com.au versions as well)
