Add missing tests for the newly added code that uses CSS Variables for theming #71

The parts of the code that are missing tests can be found using keyword TODO (esn-frontend-common-libs#51).

This is related to PR https://github.com/OpenPaaS-Suite/esn-frontend-common-libs/pull/48 and https://github.com/OpenPaaS-Suite/esn-frontend-common-libs/issues/51.
