Zoom level restrictions in offline maps using Mapsforge #96

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Copy India.map in SDcard/mapsforge
2. Select Mapsforge as tile provider in Navigator application
3. Some map tiles are missing while panning the map

What is the expected output?
map tiles downloaded from offline map data to be rendered on map view
 What do you see instead?
Some map tiles are not rendered while panning the map.

Please let me know if there is any restrictions in zoom level of Maps forge
offline maps as I understand searching and routing is not supported in offline
maps.

For searching and routing in offline maps, can we render .KML file on top of
offline maps view?

What version of the products are you using (Android SDK, osmdroid,
OSMBonusPack)?OSMNavigator_v5.0.apk
Android sdk 4.4.2
Osmdroid

Please provide any additional information below.
OSMBonuspack_5.0.jar

Some map tiles are not rendered while panning the map. => Mapsforge rendering
can be a little bit slow. If you confirm there is a real bug, please create a
new Issue, and provide detailed data and explicit examples (screen copy, link
to the map).

Please let me know if there is any restrictions in zoom level of Maps forge
offline maps => yes, min and max zoom levels are defined when building the
Mapsforge map.

searching and routing is not supported in offline maps. => Searching and
routing in OSMBonusPack are provided by online services. Those services do not
rely on the map currently displayed (either offline or online, either bitmap
tiles or Mapsforge file).

Can we render .KML file on top of offline maps view? => Yes

Please use Stackoverflow instead of those "Issues" to ask questions.
