Reword:

Our age groups and the competitions they play in, including game format, are governed by the local association (Manly Warringah Footall Association) in line with Football Australia guidelines.

The youngest age group for playing Club Football is Under 6, for children turning 5 or 6 in the current calendar year. This age group is mixed - both boys and girls.

Beyond 6s, every age group from 7s to 18s is then represented in both the mixed Saturday competition as well as in all-girls competitions on Sundays (W-7 to W-18). Our all girls teams may start at 7, but younger players are welcome if they want to play only with other girls.

The mixed competitions play on Saturdays and the girls only competitions play on Sundays. The exception to this is the division one teams for 18s and W-18s which both play on Friday nights.

The local association, Manly Warringah Football Association, sets the rules for our age groups and their game formats, following the guidelines of Football Australia.

Kids as young as 5 or 6 (turning that age this year) can start playing Club Football in the Under 6 group. This group includes both boys and girls.

From the age of 7 up to 18, there are mixed teams that play on Saturdays and all-girls teams that play on Sundays (from W-7 to W-18). Girls younger than 7 can join these all-girls teams if they prefer.

The mixed teams play their games on Saturdays, while the girls' teams play on Sundays. However, the top teams in the 18s and W-18s age groups play on Friday nights instead.
