3 months ago Hi, I am trying to fit some rodent behavior data using the SSM package. However, when I follow the installation instructions in my conda environment, I am unable to install the package and it ends with the error: error: Microsoft Visual C++ 14.0 or greater is required. Get it with "Microsoft C++ Build Tools": https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/visual-cpp-build-tools/ [end of output] I did visit the build tools site, but was unsure what or how to install those packages. Can someone help me with this? Thanks!

1 month ago Thanks for sharing your solution @wanglei666666666! I haven't tested on Windows personally, but it makes sense that you need to install some extra compiler tools.
An alternative approach would be to install gcc/g++ through conda, but I can't say for sure if that would work.
